Marketing and Communications Specialist / AssistantNewcastle, UK

3t is currently looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Specialist / Assistant on a permanent contract located in the UK.

This role is hybrid. The ideal candidate should be within commuting distance of our Aberdeen or Newcastle office.

The Role

3t is the market-leading training, learning technology and simulation company for safety critical industries: number one for training to the UK oil and gas industry, and global offshore wind market; and the world’s number one for advanced simulator technology.

With a global customer base, 3t is in an exciting growth phase due to recent acquisitions, and is hot off the back of a global re-brand, enhancing 3t’s position as industry leaders.

This is an exciting new role reporting directly to the Marketing Director that supports the central marketing team at 3t to deliver excellent marketing and communications support across both b2b and b2c audiences.

A vital part of the team, you will support with the delivery of digital, social, and lead generation marketing campaigns.

You will also help the Marketing Director to harvest exciting stories from across the business to life, and to manage our PR agency to promote our business and our people positively across the world.

This role requires some time within our business, so you can really get under the skin of our training and learning organisation. With flagship training centres located in Aberdeen and Newcastle, you should be within commutable distance to either one. The number of days spent in the office is flexible and negotiable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand our customers: You will use a variety of tools to get to know our customers, learning their motivations, buyer behaviours, and pain points. These will help us to make effective marketing decisions.
  • Campaign planning: You will support the Marketing Manager(s) with the planning of both b2b and b2c marketing campaigns, ensuring a smooth delivery of campaign assets and content.
  • Championing excellent content: Working closely with the Digital Content Manager, you will support with maintaining the highest-standard of content for use across all digital channels.
  • Brand guardianship: Support with the guardianship of the 3t brand and its uses across 3t’s verticals on all platforms, internationally, including in-person hosting of media or VIPs at our centres as required.
  • Agency management: You will support the Marketing Director with the day-to-day management of PR and communication planning, proof-reading articles and press releases for distribution.
  • Event management: You will support with the planning and delivery of b2b and b2c events, often being on-site to promote 3t and engage with customers and delegates on the day.
  • Monthly KPI reports: You will support with the delivery of monthly KPIs and understand what campaigns and tactics help to drive the performance of them.
  • Stakeholder management: You will support with communication and management of the marketing team’s key stakeholders across 3t.
  • Story-telling: You will help to harvest excellent stories from colleagues and delegates at our training centres and confidently brief these in for development.
  • Internal Communications: You will support the Marketing Director on the creation of a global, annual internal communications calendar and you will assist with writing and delivery as appropriate.
  • Marketing administration: You will become proficient with our marketing websites and booking systems, ensuring all customer-facing content is accurate, including course overviews, landing pages, and delegate joining-instructions.

You will have some experience in managing a set of complex stakeholders across various locations and their requirements across the business, and understand the importance of delivering excellent marketing support both internally and externally.

The experience we’re looking for includes:

  • Experience of working within a dynamic multi-discipline marketing team
  • Experience of working across both marketing and corporate communications
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and other digital reporting dashboards
  • Experience of working with a variety of marketing and PR agencies
  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to showcase how content performs
  • Experience in coordinating events

We would expect you to have:

  • Further higher education, preferably at degree level, or further marketing training
  • Worked within a fast-paced marketing role previously
  • Worked within a multi-discipline team, and have strong examples of working solo
  • Excellent communication skills, project briefing and management
  • An acute attention to detail

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
