3t is currently looking to recruit a Funded Training Project Manager on a permanent contract located in Newcastle, UK.

3t Training Services is the UK’s largest and leading provider of training for the oil and gas, wind, and power industries, and a major player globally, whilst also making a significant impact on the wider and utilities sectors including gas, electric, and water.

The Role

Your role will be to ensure the viability of training delivery and to help maximise funding drawdown from our funded learning contracts. You will work closely with the Head of Funded Learning during bid stage then take on the projects at contract award.

You will take projects through their mobilisation phase and will retain some involvement during delivery with the aim of maximising funding draw-down.

This is a broad role that will be suitable for a person adept at multi-tasking, dealing with internal and external stakeholders and prioritising their time effectively. You will be able to come up with innovative solutions for projects and be persuasive in the face of barriers, with the flexibility to try different approaches.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role can be split into defined categories.

Contract mobilisation, you will be responsible for

  • Ensuring due diligence for a new contract is completed, working with the Compliance team so they are aware and ensure all documentation is returned on-time
  • Working with partners (e.g. Colleges, Clients, Training Providers etc), or Hotels, or our Operations team to enable the delivery of courses within suitable facilities
  • Providing the initial briefing to our Marketing Team to ensure Learner and B2B enquiries come in

Contract delivery, you will be responsible for

  • Liaising with our Marketing Team to ensure any new courses are setup within our booking system
  • Working with our Planning Team on an ongoing basis to ensure sufficient Instructor / Course Spaces capacity is available for our monthly and contract targets

Reporting:

  • You will be responsible for maintaining our project planning tool (currently this is the Planner App within Microsoft Teams). Including setting up tasks, holding internal teams to account and reporting on project completions, upcoming timelines and any blockers.
  • You must maintain an awareness of what Contracts 3t have upcoming and operational including what value of funding remains for drawdown.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Each contract will have training available for delivery from the agreed point in time. This could for example be 8 weeks from project award. Or more / less depending on the complexity.
  • Ensuring as a team that we maximise drawdown. Your responsibility will be to ensure there is sufficient training spaces for colleagues in the Funded Learning team to book Learners onto.
