3t is currently looking to recruit a Compliance Manager on a permanent contract located in North Shields, UK.

3t Training Services is the UK’s largest and leading provider of training for the oil and gas, wind, and power industries, and a major player globally, whilst also making a significant impact on the wider and utilities sectors including gas, electric, and water.
The Role
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems across 3t. They will act as the IMS Manager, DPO, HSE Representative and Lead Auditor across all 3t sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
IMS Manager:
- Ongoing development, maintenance and implementation of the 3t overarching group management system certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001 standards
- Annual reviews of all group level policies and procedures
- Responsible for the reporting of the group level objectives and targets
- Responsible for the day to day updating of all group registers, including Risk Register, Aspects & Impacts Register & Legal Register
- Supporting the review and development of local processes & procedures by managers, reviewing for compliance and advising on content against required standards
Lead Auditor:
- Ownership of group level ISO internal audit schedule leading on internal and external audits for all 3t sites, systems & suppliers.
- Provide guidance and set the standard for all audit activities and in particular the implementation of any appropriate non-conformances / corrective actions required following audit.
- Act as a mentor for all internal auditors, supporting their learning understanding of requirements
- Drive continuous improvement across the business
- Provide guidance and support to aid root cause analysis
- Supporting sites with external audit process to include certification/ awarding body, supplier & customer audits sites with external audit process to include certification/ awarding body, supplier & customer audits
Data Protection Officer:
- Conduction GDPR gap analyses across 3t sites and systems
- Reviewing and advising on policies and procedures relating to the processing of personal data
- Conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIA’s) and Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR’s)
- Supporting IT, providing guidance on data breach monitoring, management and reporting
- Being the contact point for data protection authorities on all data protection issues
- Facilitating GDPR awareness training and the training of staff involved in data processing operations
- Providing DPO support, including providing training to other parts of the business as required
HSE Advisor:
- Reviewing internal HSE policies and procedures, ensuring they are current and appropriate to the business
- HSE reporting against the various HSE objectives
- Identify, review and assess relevant legislation and other requirements across all areas
- Advise relevant stakeholders on pertinent HSE issues
- To profile risk as part of the internal audit process identifying risk assessment requirements & supporting the teams to create new risk assessments where required
- To update and review risk assessments in consultation with the relevant teams – reviewing annually as a minimum
- To work with the teams in all areas ensuring all safe working practices are in place and appropriate training has been provided to enable implementation
- To assist with accident/ incident/ near miss reporting, investigation & cause analysis where required
- To chair a monthly safety meeting to be attended by all relevant managers/ leads across the group
- To provide support to the facilities functions to ensure compliance with HSE regulations, internal monitoring of equipment and ensuring external contractors are appropriately controlled whilst on a 3t site
- To assist with the planning & management of health campaigns, implementing across all sites

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Lead Auditor Qualifications
- NEBOSH Certificate / Diploma
- IEMA Environmental Qualification or equivalent
- Extensive experience with multi-site / group management systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of business processes required
- A strong understanding of data protection regulations, laws and requirements – within a highly regulated industry

Location: The role will have a national remit with anticipated up to 40% travel across Training business sites.
