Through our partnership with The Saudi Arabian Drilling Academy (SADA) we provide expertise and insight to support the premier technical and academic institution’s goals of redefining training across the region. A joint endeavour between Saudi Aramco and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), SADA offers a supportive training environment for the next generation of drilling professionals.
Our collaboration with SADA is a particular source of pride for us, with our digital solutions playing a key part in its innovative 4*4 blended learning approach. The combined curriculum comprising Smart Learning Environments (SLE), Virtual Reality (VR), Simulator Training, and hands-on experiences at actual rig sites, provides a cutting-edge training environment for students and places them at the forefront of the industry as they embark on their careers.
During a recent visit to the Middle East, Gavin Taylor (VP Global Sales), Ian Hunt (Region VP – MENA) and Annabel Leckenby (Group Marketing & Communications Director) visited the centre and had an opportunity to see the positive impact of 3t’s solutions first hand.
Managing Director Faisal Al-Daihani led the team on a tour of the academy’s state-of-the-art facilities, where 3t’s Drilling Systems technology and VR learning technology were prominently featured. This was followed by a visit to a class of female students to hear about their learning programmes – an opportunity to witness training in action and learn more about the powerful shift towards supporting and celebrating future female industry leaders.
To top off the tour, the team were taken up a landrig onsite to see the environment our simulators are preparing students for – and where they will put their excellent training into practice.
Reflecting on the visit, 3t’s Group Marketing & Communications Director Annabel Leckenby said:
“It’s inspiring to see the progress being made in every sense at SADA, from technological advances and innovative learning programmes to supporting women into the industry.
“Seeing the abundance of 3t technology in the facility, hearing from students and getting a glimpse of the environment they are preparing to work in gives an insight into SADA’s commitment to offering the highest standard of training.
“This visit further cements our pride in our collaboration with Faisal and his team, and we are looking forward to making more positive steps together in the future”.
